COVID-19

We have been monitoring reports provided by federal, state and local government sites and keeping communications open with various organizations and affiliations, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”).  Based on what has been communicated, we have implemented the preventative measures list on our coronavirus update page.  

megabus.com has put schedule reductions in place to accomodate any essential travel.  All scheduled trips are expected to operate.  We will contact you by email and SMS (if selected at time of booking) if there are any changes. 

Absolutely.  We have updated our change policies to offer a free reschedule for anyone travelling in the coming weeks.  Please see this page for further details.  We are experiencing higher than normal volumes and it make take longer for us to respond to you.  Please wait until your trip is within 3 days to contact us for any changes. 

Yes.  Customers on all trips will be required to wear facial coverings in situations where social distancing is not possible from Monday, May 18th onwards.  These situations include while waiting in line, during the boarding process, when moving around the bus, and when getting off the bus.  We encourage customers to wear their facial coverings through the duration of the trip. 

We encourage all passengers to wear a facial covering while traveling with megabus.com, but understand that parents may not be able to keep these on young children.  An exception to the face covering requirement will be made in these situations.

Customers will be required to bring their own facial covering for their trip.  If you don’t have one, please visit the CDC’s website here for instructions on how to create your own.
