Megabus.com expands Friday, Sunday service to/from Kingston, RI

(October 20, 2014) – University of Rhode Island students have a new travel option on direct trips to and from New York. Megabus.com – the popular city-to-city, express bus company – today announced it has begun service to/from Kingston, Rhode Island. Tickets can be purchased at www.megabus.com  today.

University of Rhode Island students and Kingston residents can now travel direct to New York on two twice/week departures (Friday and Sunday only) from the megabus.com arrival/departure location at the University of Rhode Island. On campus, the arrival/departure location is at the bus shelter on the traffic circle of Lower College Road. Parking for non-students is free on weekends. On Fridays, a parking pass is needed, which can be picked up free of charge at the University of Rhode Island Visitor’s Center on Upper College Road.

“We’re happy to be on the campus of the University of Rhode Island to provide students another affordable travel option to and from New York,” said Mike Alvich, megabus.com’s Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations.”

Fares start at $1 on every bus, every day and increase gradually as the traveling date gets closer. Customers are encouraged to book early to secure $1 fares.

“The $1 fares go quickly, so it’s best to book early,” added Alvich.
