Megabus.com bus tracking application now available for customers in California & Nevada


First-of-its-kind app includes all North American routes, available for iOS and Android devices

(Feb. 7, 2013) – Megabus.com – the first city-to-city express bus company with fares from $1 via the Internet – updated its “Megabus USA” mobile bus tracking application for iOS and Android platforms to include California and Nevada destinations. The free app, which launched in other markets megabus.com services last year, allows customers to confirm the estimated time of arrival for their bus and more.

“Megabus USA” now includes Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Sacramento, Calif., Oakland, Calif., Riverside, Calif., San Jose, Calif. and Sparks/Reno, Nev. on a list of 135 markets served by megabus.com’s environmentally-friendly double-decker buses with free Wi-Fi and power outlets.

"Megabus.com customers in California and Nevada were eager for this update to our mobile app and now all megabus.com customers can enjoy this great tool,” said Mike Alvich, VP of marketing and public relations for megabus.com. “Megabus.com continues to lead the bus transportation industry in innovation and this is just one more way we’re striving to provide the best customer service possible.”

Once downloaded, megabus.com customers can input their origin and destination cities and the times they are traveling to confirm the bus stop locations and what time their bus will arrive; the app can save multiple trips scheduled weeks in advance. To date, the app has received more than 87,000 downloads.
